Who we are

Irie Lion Vegetarian Kitchen was born from the intention of offering a space where healthy food and the soul come together. Founded by Chef Miguel Severino and reimagined with his wife, Delia Rodriguez-Masjoan, this project unites their passion for wholesome meals and cultural exchange as a shared purpose. Inspired by their roots and the migrant experience in the United States, they have created a culinary proposal that not only nourishes the body but also celebrates diverse cultures, human connection, and holistic well-being.

THE NAME

The name Irie Lion evokes positive energy, harmony, and good living—values that define every dish we serve. Our concept blends flavors from Dominican Creole, Indian, Arab, and Mediterranean cuisines, resulting in a unique identity built on fresh ingredients and a colorful, creative presentation. We bring years of experience from our time in the Colonial Zone, where we served the community for over six years. Today, we continue that legacy at La Rueda, offering vegetarian breakfast and lunch designed with mindful nutrition in mind.

Beyond our culinary offerings

Irie Lion hosts themed dinners that include conversations on topics such as migration, art, wellness, health, and personal development—creating community through flavors and stories. We want every person who visits us to feel at home, welcomed like an old friend with food made from the heart. This is a family space—intimate and authentic. Here, cultures are not only fused—they are celebrated.
